CAPER/NPF Visiting Fellows Program

The Collaborative Alliance for Pancreatic Education and Research (CAPER) and The National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) are pleased to offer the CAPER/NPF Visiting Fellows Program. This opportunity features a one-month immersive experience for select trainees to be exposed to a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the management of benign and malignant pancreatic diseases.

Two Visiting Fellowships will be awarded. One Visiting Fellow will be hosted at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for an adult pancreatology experience and one visiting fellow will be hosted at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for a pediatric pancreatology experience.

 

Program Goals for Fellows to Experience:

  • Multifaceted management of acute pancreatitis

  • Multifaceted management of acute recurrent pancreatitis

  • Multifaceted management of chronic pancreatitis

  • Multifaceted diagnosis and management of pancreatic cysts

  • Diagnosis and management of pancreatic masses

Timeline:

  • Application to Open: Fall

  • Notifications Distributed: Spring

  • 1 Month Observership - to be completed August - June
